Start Planning Now for 2009-10 Academic Year
If you are a student who plans to attend college during the 2009-10 academic year, now is the time to visit the Scholarship Search area of IllinoisMentor at collegezone.com to find scholarships to help fund your education. As you search, beware of financial aid "scams."
This is also the time for high school seniors planning to start college in the fall of 2009 to apply for a Personal Identification Number (PIN), to be used in January when completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
To learn about the financial aid process from the convenience of your computer, check out the Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation entitled The Financial Aid Process. The narrated presentation can be accessed online via the Student Quick Links menu that appears on the Student Zone front page at collegezone.com.
