There are several places to get information on advanced studies. If you’re in college now, you have several resources all around you, including your professors and counselors, and advisors in the career services office. These individuals can help you decide if graduate or professional school is the best option to help you reach your goals. They may also be able to help you decide where to go, when to go, what to study, under whom to study, and who might be willing to write letters of recommendation for you.
Other available resources—whether you’re currently in or out of school—include different colleges’ Web sites, friends, family and professionals in your field. Also, be sure to check out resources at libraries, bookstores and counselors’ offices in your area. Look for upcoming forums and college fairs being held in your city.
