2009-10 MAP Payment 2009-10 On July 15, 2009, the Governor and state legislators reached an agreement regarding the fiscal year 2010 (FY2010) state budget. Absent new revenues and facing a substantial state budget deficit, budget cuts have been made. Consequently, the amount ISAC receives to fund college scholarships and grants, including the IIA Program, has been significantly reduced. Based on that budget students will receive a $250 award for fall term only. The 2009-10 payment processing cycle is available via MAPnet and File Transfer Protocol requests for the MAP and IIA Program. Normal daily processing of payment requests with payment results is available to colleges as usual. All 2009-10 Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) data received from the Central Processing System (CPS) between September 1st and September 29th (inclusive) is reflected in MAPnet. Schools may now begin sending payment requests for both programs. Refer to the September 30th e-Message and the payment pages within the MAP and IIA section for important information regarding 2009-10 payment processing. Visit the MAP and IIA Program News pages within the Gift Assistance area of the FAA zone for up-to-date news and guidance about each program. Details regarding the 2009-10 MAP & IIA payment processing cycle are available in the payment section of each program. The MAPnet Payment chapter of the 2009-10 MAPnet User Guide will soon be available.
The verification of the system changes related to the recompute process has been completed and the 2009-10 MAPnet system is now available. As a reminder, due to significant reductions in the fiscal year 2010 (FY2010) state budget, eligible students will receive one-half of the annual Monetary Award Program (MAP) award that was announced at start-up. Specific details regarding how the state budget impacts 2009-10 MAP awards are provided in a July 30th e-Message and within the 2009-10 MAP Formula section. Due to longer-than-anticipated processing, 2009-10 Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) data received from the Central Processing System (CPS) between (including) Friday, July 31st and Friday, August 7th (originally scheduled to be available in MAPnet on Saturday, August 8th) will be available in MAPnet Tuesday, August 11th. ISIR files received today, Monday, August 10th will also be available in MAPnet on Tuesday, August 11th. Normal processing of ISIR data will resume on Tuesday, with records available on a daily basis from that date forward. The 2009-10 MAP Formula section, including the 2009-10 Hand Calculation Forms, has been update to reflect the recompute formula. Refer to Calculate the 2009-10 MAP Term Eligible Amount for details on how term award amounts are calculated. This document can be accessed from this link or from the right-hand menu of the 2009-10 MAP Formula page. Refer to the MAP and IIA Program News areas regularly for the most up-to-date information. Suspension of IIA Award Announcements ISAC suspended the announcement of IIA grants for all students whose initial 2009-10 FAFSA is received by the Central Processing System (CPS) on or after April 18, 2009. This affects freshman students with zero expected family contributions (EFC's) regardless of enrollment status. Refer to the Suspension of IIA Award Announcements page within this section for information on how to identify records in a suspension status in MAPnet and on the Eligibility Status File (ESF). Refer to the MAP and IIA pages within the Gift Assistance area of the FAA Zone for up-to-date news and guidance about each program.
